IT’S YOUR TURN!

“Jesus said to him, “Get up, pick up your mat, and walk.” Immediately, the man got well; he picked up his mat and started walking…” John 5:8‭-‬9 (GNT)

He was at the Pool of Bethesda – a place of crisis and utter misery. A multitude of the blind, the lame, and the paralyzed congregate at this pool all year round, waiting for the seasonal troubling of the water by an Angel. This nameless man was in the same sick condition at the same spot for 38 years! His turn finally came when the Commander-In-Chief of all Angels decided to visit the pool personally instead of sending an Angel. The man couldn’t even recognise the great physician. His response to the direct question asked by Jesus was uninspiring. He was unprepared for a miracle. Yet, his ordeal ended immediately because it was his turn. It’s now your own turn, and the God of breakthroughs, miracles, signs, and wonders will single you out of the crowd for some jaw-dropping testimonies this season in Jesus’ name. Amen.

RAISED BY GRACE

“But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me” 1 Cor. 15:10 (KJV)

His name was Saul – a murderer, persecutor, and tormentor of the Church/Believers. He was wicked and ruthless. He described himself as the chief of sinners (1Tim. 1:15). He supervised the merciless killing of Stephen – man full of the Holy Ghost! However, when he encountered Jesus on his way to Damascus, he was saved and raised by grace. He later became Paul – the chief of the Apostles. Grace raises and transforms a man – from sinner to saint, from nobody to stardom, from poverty to affluence, from sickness to health, etc. The grace of God will raise you, your children, your spouse, and whatever you lay your hands upon going forward. Grace will speak for you and transform you into what you have never dreamnt of becoming in Jesus’ name. Amen.

WAY OF ESCAPE

“The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure” 1 Cor. 10:13 (NLT)

It is certain that we will all face temptations at one point or the other in our lives. Even Jesus Christ was tempted, but He did not fall (Heb. 4:15). You may be going through one temptation right now – just note that you’re not the first and will not be the last. You will not go down. Remember, God is faithful. He made a way of escape for Jesus Christ, Daniel, Joseph, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. A way of escape is God showing up/showing us how best to resist the devil and not succumb to temptations. He will make a way of escape for us. That temptation will not mark the end of your/my heavenly race. The devil will not put out my/your light. Because of the faithfulness of God, we will triumph in Jesus’ name. Amen .

WAITING UPON THE LORD

“The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him” Lam. 3:25 (KJV)

Waiting upon the Lord is relying fully on God to do what He has promised at His own appointed time. As strenuous as waiting can be, it has been proven that it is the surest path to permanent victory. Abraham waited for 25 years for the arrival of Isaac. Whereas Isaac brought laughter into his home, the shortcut he attempted in Ishmael introduced a crisis that is still raging till date. Be patient. Keep waiting. God can never be late. Waiting is a tested recipe for winning. May the Lord show us His goodness and salvation as we wait on Him. God will renew our strength daily, and we will not be put to shame in Jesus’ name. Amen.

GOD’S REWARDS

“And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be” Revelation 22:12 (KJV).

Reward is a thing given in recognition of service, effort, or achievement. God’s is a rewarder (Heb. 11:6) and every Man/Woman created by Him shall be rewarded. The pertinent questions are (a) what have you done? (b) what are you doing? (c) what kind of reward will you get?, etc. Let’s be mindful of what we do because God’s rewards shall be according to every man’s work. The highest reward is eternity with God after this transient life. We will not miss eternity with God by His grace. Lord, please empower me/us to do good works all the days of my/our lives and position me/us for the best rewards in Jesus’ name. Amen.

GIVE THANKS

O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth forever” *1Chro. 16:34 (KJV)

Every child of God has an obligation to give thanks to Him irrespective of the prevailing situation. To give thanks is to offer appreciation/commendation to God for everything (1Thes. 5:18). You may be down, but you are not out. Give Thanks. You may have lost some things, but you have not lost everything. Give Thanks. It may appear like there is no light at the end of that dark tunnel, but God is not  dead. Give Thanks. The Lord will fill your hearth and mouth with thanksgiving today  and always  in Jesus’ name. Amen.

HATING INIQUITY

“Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows” Hebrews 1:9 (KJV)

Hatred is intense dislike for a thing or someone. Every believer is permitted to hate sin – not your neighbours. Hating iniquity is a key prerequisite for standing out in God’s estimation and making heaven. Joseph hated/avoided iniquity like a plague. He fled from Portiphar’s wife without his garment. That’s how to hate iniquity. We can’t continue to hang around sin/sinners and claim to be hating iniquity at the same time. Father, please don’t let sin have dominion over me. The same God that gave Jesus and Joseph victory over temptations will empower us to win all battles against iniquities in Jesus’ name. Amen.

PROMOTION COMES FROM GOD

“For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another” Psalms 75:6-7 (KJV)

Promotion is a positive/upward shift from one level to another. It is the direct opposite of demotion. Any person who is not experiencing promotion in life is said to be stagnant. It is not in man to promote another person above himself, but God can promote a servant and place him above his master. That was the story of David, Joseph, Esther, Mordecai, etc. Lord, you promised to set me on high above all the nations of the earth – please accelerate my promotion today. The Lord will show you what to do to trigger that long-awaited promotion, and your next promotion shall make the headlines. Demotion is not your portion in Jesus’ name. Amen.

UNTIMELY DEATH IS PROHIBITED

“Babies will no longer die in infancy, and all people will live out their life span. Those who live to be a hundred will be considered young. To die before that would be a sign that I had punished them”
Isaiah 65:20 (GNT)

It has never been part of God’s plan for any of His children to die before their time (Jer. 29:11). Untimely death could be traceable to sin or the activities of the devil. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Solomon, Samuel, etc. all died in a “good old age and full of years.” Yours and my case shall not be different. Father, we stand your Word which says that every covenant with death shall be disannulled, and every agreement with hell shall not stand. I delete the names of all your children in COG and those connected to them from every satanic list of persons marked for untimely death in the potent name of Jesus Christ. It shall not stand!
